Jess/ica Hylek is a multidisciplinary graphic designer based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in branding systems, print and digital design, UI optimization, and data visualization for small businesses and entrepreneurs. For the past 5 years, Jess has worked with companies to enhance their brand, craft a persona and optimize their design strategy. Prior to freelance, Jess served as the principal designer at the health-tech start-up Resilience Lab in NYC, where they orchestrated digital marketing look and feel, and created branded content.

Passionate about the synergy between communication and design, Jess crafts engaging, functional aesthetics imbued with complex meaning with intention and context. Jess graduated from Boston University with a BA in English Literature and minors in Political Science and Visual Arts. In 2020, they received their graphic design graduate certificate from the Pratt Institute, combining their two loves of language and visual communication. Currently Jess is pursuing her MFA in Graphic Design at Art Center College of Design, graduating in spring 2026.
